Just for fun:
1. What is the most expensive fashion item you have purchased AND/OR your most prized fashion possession? 2. What is the most unusual fashion item you own? 3. What is the one (or two) that got away for whatever reason? 4. What do you not own that you wish you did even though there is no way you can justify it? Looking forward to reading your answers. Here are mine: 1. Most expensive I *think* is a Max Mara long coat, $1750 I think. Most prized is a pair of Max Mara boots DH brought back for me from Milan. 2. My husband's grandmother's classic black handbag she bought in London in the 50s. 3. The gorgeous mahogany full length mink I tried on at Bloomingdales last week, marked down to $4200 from $10,500 and the red limited edition Fendi bag I didn't buy at Neiman's about 6 years ago. 4. A fabulous ball gown. I will trudge off to the inaugural ball in a plain old floor length I bought for a black tie wedding. |

My Cinzia Rocca wool coat from Bluefly. It was $600 (marked down from $1200) and I wear it to work everyday 2. What is the most unusual fashion item you own? A small, square green purse I got in Amsterdam 3. What is the one (or two) that got away for whatever reason? A huge pearl ring that I should have bought when I was in Bali ten years ago. 4. Interesting that so far everyone's most unusual item is a bag of some sort. I am surprised people are more interested in telling their jeans size than just pure fashion gossip, but maybe we'll get some nibbles on my quiz over the weekend. This is meant to be just for fun and across all price points, so ladies please fess up! |

Ok, let me give it a go:
1. Patek Philippe Calatrava watch (about 11-12k, if I recall correctly) 2. A beautiful gray leather bag that my mom gave me last year (she bought it in the 70s) 3. A crimson Narcisco Rodriguez dress from 5-6 years ago 4. Another (complications model) Patek Philippe watch  Got the first one from a much-larger-than-expected bonus from my time in investment banking, but I really cannot justify buying another one.

1. What is the most expensive fashion item you have purchased AND/OR your most prized fashion possession?
My super comfortable, cute Naturalizer riding boots - $135. They go great with a very nice black dress I got on mega clearance (and thanks to a lazy sales clerk who didn't want to go find the price) for $19. 2. What is the most unusual fashion item you own? A purse a friend gave me from the DR or a shirt I bought from Ross that I can't bring myself to wear, yet cannot bring myself to throw away either. 3. What is the one (or two) that got away for whatever reason? My size 6 jeans that I am too fat to wear. 4. What do you not own that you wish you did even though there is no way you can justify it? There are big ticket items I dream about, but they do not fall into the clothing/accessories category. |

my version of expensive is $119 Brazilian workout pants and $75 Zumba cargo pants. 2. What is the most unusual fashion item you own? Suede shoes with faux fur trim. They make people look twice, and kids want to pet them. 3. What is the one (or two) that got away for whatever reason? I almost bought a $60 pair of jeans once, but decided I'm just as cute in a $30 pair. 4. What do you not own that you wish you did even though there is no way you can justify it? I wish I owned a suit, but since everyone in my line of work (art) wears jeans and t-shirts, I don't really have a reason to own one. |

Balenciaga bag that is the size of my thumbnail, $995. 2. What is the most unusual fashion item you own? Long sapphire blue velvet cape with fur trim that belonged to my husband's grandmother that she wore home from a party in the 50's from which didn't know how to drive stick so she drove home the entire way in second gear. 3. What is the one (or two) that got away for whatever reason? Red peephole Choos-they've made several iterations since then, but not exactly the same. 4. What do you not own that you wish you did even though there is no way you can justify it? Kelly Bag. Have been asking for one for my 40th birthday since I was 30. Two more years of begging to go... |
