My family is going to the airport for a long trip this Thursday. We want to take a cab to the airport, but I'm a bit worried about the logistics. I've never paid attention to seatbelts, etc in cabs before. Is it pretty standard to bring a carseat and hook it up, or has anyone had trouble taking cab rides with a baby? Thanks! |
I've done it and it worked fine. I suspect that cabs are required to have operational backseat belts. If you have a graco, its amazingly easy to belt it in too. |
I've taken many cab rides with my son - used a Graco snugride when he was a baby and the Cosco Tote N Go when he was bigger. I've never had any problems with the seatbelts. You can let the cab company know in advance you will have a child with you if you are worried but it's not necessary. They often ask how many will be in the cab when you book it. |
We usually use our own car seat (very easy to install) but several cab companies can provide carseats if you call ahead. I know Arlington Red Top does. |
