Kid-friendly New Year's Eve ideas

Anonymous
For the past two years, our family has had dinner on NYE at Ri-Ra in Bethesda - they did a kid-friendly countdown to the New Year at midnight Dublin time (8 pm here) before the real midnight countdown. They're gone now, and I'm wondering if any other local restaurants do something similar.

Have you looked into the Ruths Chris in Bethesda?

Ha, I thought about that thread as I was posting...real kid-friendly, not Ruth's Chris at 11 pm, please.

Gold star for you! And thankfully I did not have any food in my mouth because I would have spit it out from laughing.

Any ideas out there? I've seen a few afternoon events but we'd love to be able to do dinner out.

There are theme parties, house parties, banquette parties and many more. People start planning for the New Year well in advance to have a blast.ow about a chocolate pool party. Get a pool filled with liquid chocolate. This can be a sweet idea to start the new year on a sweet note" Also Invite all your friends and have a "causes" game. Ask everyone to pick up one social cause and give 3 suggestions on what can be done to fix it." Also The perfect party idea would be to invite all your friends as well as those whom you dislike. New years day is the best time to sort out your differences and start afresh. I found some of amazing party ideas at http://thetshirtman.co.uk/welcoming-the-new-year/.
