Little Seasons Georgetown

Hi all: I am considering Little Seasons for daycare for my infant and am wondering if any parents who have sent their little ones there could provide any feedback about their experience. I have seen LS mentioned on this site several times, but haven't seen any specific feedback except about their spring or summer programs. TIA for your help!

Have you asked for referral to talk to another parent at the center?

I have not, that's a great idea. Thank you!

I'm a parent of an infant at LS. We have been happy with the care, and our LO has really blossomed while there. She's a social, happy baby and is ahead of most of her milestones. The teachers really care for and enjoy all the kids in their care, and it shows in a happy, cheery, homey environment.

Like any child care situation, there are pluses and minuses and nothing is perfect, but the director and teachers are very willing to work with you to make sure your baby is being cared for in the manner you want, with personal touches from home, etc. That was not the experience we had touring other daycares, who seemed fairly rigid about what they wouldn't do (i.e. to help the baby sleep, etc).

Hello, D.C. parents. My name is Beena and I'm working on an assignment for the Journalism Center on Children and Families at the University of Maryland (http://www.journalismcenter.org/) and I'm wondering if any of you could speak with me briefly about high costs of child care in the Washington area, and why it is so high in this metropolitan area? I would love to speak with any parent who can help me! Please email me at beenareports@gmail.com.
