I have visitors coming from out of town next weekend (the 13th). Any ideas (besides the National Christmas Tree) of seasonal things for two elementary-aged boys (and possibly my toddler) to see/do in DC or Northern VA?

Union Station and the U.S. Botanical Gardens both have neat holiday train displays.

Brookside Garden (in Wheaton) is one of my FAVORITE places at the holidays. I live in Vienna, but we make the trip because its so neat. Bazillions of lights set up in the Garden... and a nice, probably .5 - .75 mile walk through them.
Bull Run Park in Centerville also has a lights display that people like, but I think it pales in comparison to Brookside. Its different, because you stay in your car and drive through the park (past the displays)... I found it disappointing.
