Saint Agnes or St Ann Catholic Schools in Arlington-good or bad choice?

We are at the top of the waiting list at Saint Agnes and St. Ann Catholic School in Arlington. Any good or bad comments anyone can share with me? We are moving to that area this coming August and need a preschool or my 4yr old son. These are the two preschools that we found that did not have a long waiting list.

Any input would be great.

Are you looking to keep him there longer term or just this year for Pre-K?

Check the Private/Independent school forum as there have been some threads providing feedback on these two schools. Most people seem to love them both. Both are Blue Ribbon schools, St. Ann is much smaller.

The neighborhoods within each parish's boundaries are zoned for really strong public schools, so you don't see huge waiting lists at either school for that reason.

I only want to leave my son at any of the two schools for the Pre-K 4. After that I am sending him to a dual immersion program at Claremont or Key.

We just finished a year at St. Ann in Arlington.

We love the curriculum. The community (parent community) is small, fun, not snobby, and they really love & support their kids.
The teachers are great (most are much more qualified than the requirements ask) and they love, love, love the kids.
Since they organize the students into houses they have a small class as a home, but also have friends in upper and lower grades who provide support and encouragement.
One thing I am so impressed with is that they emphasize the laboratory sciences at an early age.

I also really, really appreciate how communicative my son's teachers have been via email.
My other child goes to the local public school. It is 3 p.m. Friday. A note I sent at 7 p.m. Monday has not been answered.
The St. Ann teacher would respond to a "my child was up late and may be dragging today" with 3 updates throughout the afternoon on how things are going.

I don't know the St. Agnes program, but I feel like St. Ann is both a bargain and priceless at the same time.

Um, while I was writing that note, my son's teacher (who is now on summer vacation) wrote an email wishing him a great summer, provided me with info for next year, and invited me to contact her all summer long if I needed anything. LOVE that place.
