Suggestions of a very good place to have lunch on Baltimore this Sunday?

Anonymous
My family (us and 3y old) and a relative plus her 14y old and her father (my uncle) who is coming to visit will meet in Baltimore this Sunday to have lunch - maybe walk a little bit in the harbor area... just enjoy the day.

I plan on taking our child to Port Discovery before meeting with them.

Anyway, any suggestions of a very good place to eat good food? Not fancy per se, but nice atmosphere and good food.

Ideas?

Alewife- great beer, good menu for kids and adults. We see several O's games a year with our kids and this is a regular stop.

Mt Washington tavern - I think that's the name of the place with the retractable roof.

Gertrudes at the BMA-I don't love their food, but they do a very nice brunch and it's a great setting. Clementine also has great food and a nice atmosphere. Neither of these options are close to the harbor. Close to the harbor, I've got nothing.

+100, although OP, do you want to stay near the Harbor? You'd def have to drive or cab to Woodberry. Dining in the Inner Harbor is not great, but Harbor East and Little Italy have a lot more options.

Bagby Pizza in Harbor East is very good. They have beer and wine, but you order at the counter. So maybe that's TOO casual for you.

In Fell's, I like Mama's on the Half-Shell, but it gets really crowded.

Miss Shirley's is great and close to Port Disc. Woodberry Kitchen is like getting into Le Diplomate right now, well nigh impossible.

For sure Miss Shirleys but another good brunch in a cool location is the Visionary Arts Museum. I don't remember the name of the restaurant but it's on the top floor of the museum.

Miss Shirley's is SO good. We went there before visiting friends...my husband still talks about how good his french toast was!

I'd love to go back. It was fantastic. I had the chicken and waffles - they were fabulous.
