how many wait lists does it take...?

| I'm looking for infant day care beginning in January 2014. We are currently on two day care wait lists since March, and I am wondering if we should get on another (or even a couple more) to get in somewhere by the time I plan to return to work from maternity leave? Interested in any thoughts on this based on other parents' experiences... |

| WHere are you looking? If you're looking downtown, you should be on more waitlists. I was on seven and got one spot. |

| I was on 9, hedge your bets by choosing daycares with more than one infant class and ones that don't specifically lean to a govt agency (Just Us Kids, with 9 infant spots and 100,000 employees who have priority over you). |
