Unopened box of Godiva chocolate from Christmas - still ok to eat?

Anonymous
Somehow I forgot about a box of chocolate that was given to me this past December and has been sitting on top of my china closet for 3 months. Are they still ok to eat?
Anonymous
totally. chocolate is probably good for at least 6 months, unlike cookies.

Sacrilege! Would never happen in my house. I'm sure it's fine. From this past Christmas, right?

Heck yeah, it's good.

No, you shouldn't eat them. You should mail them to me. I will save you from them. . . .

Yes but you might want to get your brain checked for having forgotten about them in the first place..

My God, I wouldn't think twice if they were three years old. Eat those babies!!

They may have bloomed a little - gotten that white buildup but are still perfectly fine

I think that's a sin against chocolate.

Yes, a sin against chocolate, clearly you are unfit to be a chocolate owner. Please relinquish all remaining chocolate in your house to ME

Seriously! Me too. I'd eat chocolate from pretty much forever ago.
