My 7 year old is playing soccer.

Why indoor for spring? Mine hates indoor track (the air is often very dry and the track is of course half the length) and only does it in the winter to train for outdoor track. Much prefers outdoor track. Most of the competitive track athletes do outdoor in the spring. Plus the times are typically much faster outdoors.

Why don't you kick his butt out of the house after school and tell him to play with neighborhood kids? He will get far more activity than at soccer practice.

Both kids playing soccer and doing once a week swim lessons. We don't do swim team but I like to refresh their swimming skills so we can enjoy the pool recreationally in the summer.

What neighborhood kids? Everyone is at sports practices.

Lax and soccer for both my boys

2 practices each sport, 2 games each weekend.

It's only 8 weeks and they overlap for 6 of the 8 weeks.

It keeps me from snacking in the evening. I walk or run when they practice.
