Home Daycares on Bolling AFB

We have been on the CDC waitlist forever. I have to find good chilcare for my 5 month old ASAP. The childcare center didn't even tell my husband that there are home daycares on base. My husband's job with DoD brought us to this area and we don't have any family or friends. Any suggestions or recommendations? I'm going to call base tomorrow to see if my husband can pick up a list but I'm due to go back to work on the 11th of March. The lack of having a safe place for my little boy is weighing heavily on me. My email is trevien2@yahoo.com if you would like to email me privately.

Thanks

Not totally positive about Bolling, but many of the bases have moved to a procedure where babies <2 years old are all on one waitlist, whether for CDC or on-base home care. The home centers cannot take your baby until your number makes it to the top, regardless of whether they have openings or not. After they turn 2, you can bypass the wait list for home day cares. Make sure to update your application every 90 days.

the last post is correct with regards to the same wait list for the CDC and the CDH (homes)! This SUCKS!! I too am needing care mid-April for my 2year old whose spot won't come up at the CDC until at the earliest June! I haven't heard of being able to bypass teh list if teh child is over 2, so I will have to call on that....Please let me know what you find! My email is gbouliasmith@yahoo.com
