Did Dr. Gindoff leave GW?

You could email the embryologist and ask. But they shouldn't have issues calling you back.

I feel bad that it isn't running as well with their short staffing - I'm sure they're run ragged, in an already difficult field.

They shouldn't be able to stop you--those are YOUR embryos. However, when I was transferring frozen sperm, the lab lackey told me that I needed a doctor's sign off AFTER he reviewed my file--when it had nothing to do with my treatment.

Since I was hopped up on estrogen, plus it was outrageous, I made clear, and probably not in a nice tone of voice, that I was picking up my vials on a particular day when I'd secured a tank, and that I expected all necessary paperwork to be done so that I could TAKE MY PROPERTY. I even told her I'd be pretty outraged if a cleaner tried to keep a designer suit and the sperm was more expensive and more precious than that and that they were not keeping it. I told her that if there were any holdups, I'd be camping out until a doctor came out, reviewed my records, and signed in front of me.

It took a lot of back and forth between the sperm bank and two clinics (GW and destination clinic), but I was NOT going to accept that they had any right to prevent me from doing as I pleased with MY property that they were just storing.

Hideous industry we're forced to deal with, as we all know.

All the moreso for embryos, which are your potential children! I know a friend transferred hers from SG to another clinic, so it's not an industry-wide thing. With the current understaffing, I can't imagine they are going to stry to stop you from transferring youru embryos to another c linic. They don't have the staff for your FET, and they don't have the staff to fight you if you decide to make a fuss.

PP here, it all went off without a hitch. Sometimes maybe they aren't aware of how outrageous they sound when they try to put bureaucratic obstacles up to something so important, expensive, and time-sensitive.

I'm 10:57. Feel bad b/c hours after I posted I got a call from GW. Think they're actually running fairly smoothly despite the departure of Gindoff - I was just probably in a bad limbo state of "not having quite started" treatment and so not completely back in the system again.

That said, as a hypothetical matter (and I hope it would only be hypothetical in my case), it still would be outrageous for a clinic to refuse to transfer frozen embryos, so I hope that's not GW's policy.

I don't think they can keep your embryos. You may have to jump through hoops to move them but those embryos are your property.

I would still be wary of going to GW when only one doctor is managing all the cases. I'm sure they'll find another doctor soon, hopefully two more.

Does anyone know why dr. D left? And why Melissa left? I loved them! I love dr. F too.. Had a huge success with him and planning on going back for a FET

I'm pretty sure with Dr. Dayal it was family reasons. She's living out of state now--in Missouri, I think. She's at the Sher Institute, and lucky them.

No idea with Dr. Gindoff.

I am so glad he is gone. He made me feel dirty and gave me the creeps. Hated the way I heard him talk to people. If Drs do not think patients hear things, think again. I was there for the other staff and wonder if he is why there was such a turn over. Hoping things settle down and they can add in doctors.

The clinic is doing well there looking for other Dr now , the Nursing staff is short
but still respond within a reasonable time.
I wish everyone well along with myself.

It's scary that he'd be working with Dr. Asmar.

I know some of you seems to like Catherine but I like the news Nurse better , who wants to see a nurse that keeps having babies every year when you are trying so hard.
And her staff seems more pleasent than usual with her being gone.

10:07 pp: I have posted here before, but I have never been a fan of Catherine either. I did really like Christy, though.

so should a nurse put her own family goals aside because of where she works?
Greg, the ultrasound tech, just had a baby but because he's a man, you wouldn't know.

To me, it doesn't matter if you like a nurse or not...but to comment on the fact that one can get pregnant (and, honestly, you don't know HOW she got pregnant just like any other woman you see walking on the street) is pretty unfair.

We all have our battles even if you can't see them.
