When talking about a day 3 or day 5 transfer ... how do you count? Is an embryos day 1 the day of retrieval or is that day 0?

Not a dumb question. The day of retrievel is not counted. Day 1 is the day after retrievel.

Not a dumb question - I had the same question!

My ER was Friday 1 Feb, my transfer is Wednesday 6 Feb.

And Jin, I know you were worried about the number of eggs retrieved but it sounds like things are progressing to a day 5 transfer ... YAY!

Well, I had 5 mature at retrieval, which I was very upset about and the Doc thought we'd probably do a 3 day...but 4 fertilized and all 4 are still going strong.

I don't think the research is set on which is better, he told me 3 vs 5 was an issue of being able to decrease the chance of multiples more accurately. Not sure if that's true!

Hopefully you get the best result possible!
