Does anyone's EBM get funky fast?

I've noticed my expressed breast milk seems to go bad after a few days in the fridge so now I always do a taste test if it's been in there for >1 day. This morning, milk that had been in the fridge <48 hours was funky! What gives??? Anyone else had their milk go bad this soon? I don't think it is the lipase thing b/c it doesn't really taste soapy-- it tastes like milk going bad.
It makes me very sad to have to dump 4 oz of milk that has only been in the fridge for 2 days! |

| It doesn't have to taste soapy to be too much lipase. Too much lipase can make it taste very strong and rancid. Have you tried scalding it to see if still ends up with the funky taste? |

| No I haven't. I guess I will try it. If scalding destroys the lipase, does it destroy beneficial things in the milk as well? Do I just drop a bottle in boiling water? Anyone done this? |

| I have noticed that if I leave it in the door and not on a shelf, it goes bad faster. I try and freeze it if it is going to be in the fridge longer that 24 hours. |
