iphone 5 or Android

I have an Galaxy S III. It is large, very large. The regular iphone fits inside my screen alone. I have not seen any drawbacks yet other than a verizon update to fix an SD card error warning. Like other pp's have said, android is for tinkering and iphone is not. If you like to tinker and customize a lot, go with android. I will say that the the S III "feels" cheaply made. The back cover is flimsy plastic, like ultra thin and feels like it will break trying to access the battery, however at least I can access the battery.

PP here with the Razr Maxx. A colleague has a personal iPhone and a corporate SGIII and he's enjoying the android. My Razr Maxx has a Kevlar back and gorilla glass screen. Not as large as the SGIII but overall a pretty decent phone. I tried to get the SG III But since it was a mid contract upgrade, they weren't THAT flexible.

Yes, my your cell phone decision based on music software.

If you use a cell phone and expect it to work without "tinkering around with it," get an iPhone. If you are a Linux nerd with no life, rarely gets laid and likes to tinker with stuff to get it to work, get an Android. Problem solved! Next question.

Considering how there are many things you can't do with an iPhone without going through iTunes, I would think that the music software would be a consideration. And none of the recent phones, iPhone or Android, require any more tinkering than the others. The difference is that Android gives you the ability to tinker a lot more by default if you want to, while it is generally discouraged on iPhone. Probably 99%+ of Android users never bother doing any more customizing than your typical iPhone user would do to their phone. When it comes to simple things, such as setting up mail, calendars, music, etc., there really aren't any major differences between them.(Some are better in some instances than others, but no significant standout, at least)

The only real answer is that anyone that tells you definitively that one is better than the other is wrong.

If you have a Galaxy S2 or S3, be careful which websites you visit. An exploit was just discovered that can cause your device to do a hard reset if you visit a specially formatted webpage:

Just to clarify, it looks like an S3 running the current OTA updates is not affected, as this has been patched. Also, it only affects the stock browser, not any third-party browsers. There are still more details coming out though.

I believe the lack of flexibility was on behalf of whomever supplies the previous poster phones. The poster does not appear to have been commenting on your battery cover.

I have an HTC Evo and I love love love the phone! I'm eligible for an upgrade, and it is the first phone I've ever had that actually survived in one piece and kept me happy all the way until my next eligible upgrade. I'm not even sure if I'll use my upgrade. I love my phone!
