Anyone Else Wake to Thunderstorm at 0200?

| Anyone else wake up to the crazy lightning/thunderstorm rolling through the area at around 0200 and think it was a bomb going off? Gee thanks, Al Qaida! |

| OMG yes!!! My entire house shook violently and I thought for sure it was a bomb. Nothing about it on CWG or WTOP.. Talk about a really bad storm I guess?! |

It's 3:30am and extremely loud, been laying with my frightened toddler  I'm hoping the power doesnt go out.

| No slept through it like a baby. Glad to find that electricity is still on and no tree fell on the house while I was sleeping, otherwise, you would've heard about me on the news tonight. |

I woke to it at 1230, then again sometime later. I'm not far from Duke & Quaker - I'm in Del Ray. I was laying there listening to it when a particularly loud thunder boom half woke DH, who let out a one word expletive. He said he thought he heard a transformer blow, then the power go out. Neither of those things happened, apparently he is still traumatized from last week. |

| Silver Spring resident here. We lost power at 2:39 according to all of our clocks. But it came back on fairly quickly (thank goodness). The lightening/thunder during the night was pretty spectacular. |

| Me!! Alexandria -west end and I literally woke up screaming. My initial thought was that a something ran into our building and then I thought it was a bomb. Im not a light sleeper either...scary stuff. |
