I know I've missed the deadlines...any help is greatly appreciated!
Call Primary Day. They might have a spot and are excellent.
Try WES (Washington Episcopal School)
Harbor School is a great place for Kindergarten.
Definitely call Primary Day. What a wonderful school on so many levels.
Grace in Kensington. New head is from St Albans. Have yet to find anyone who doesn't think he's wonderful.
would you be interested in a Catholic school? I was recently calling around (was planning on public since we can't afford the big privates) and some of them have openings and are willing to give tours this time of year. I'm hearing it's a low birthrate year . . .
Feynman School has openings. It is in Bethesda and it's a program for advanced learners. Our son attends and we are incredibly pleased with the program. It is a struggle to get him to leave at the end of the day almost every day!
They have an open house this Wednesday at 9:30. If you can't make it they will happily schedule another time for you to come and observe a class, etc. http://www.feynmanschool.org/ |

I also HIGHLY recommend Grace Episcopal Day School (www.geds.org). It's located in Kensington, at CT and the beltway. Pre-K through 5th grade will all be located at that same location, starting in the fall. There may well be openings for kindergarten.
My son will be entering 3rd grade next fall, and my daughter is graduating after 7 years at Grace. She's going on to National Cathedral. We've loved Grace: it's a small, academically strong school with a wonderful focus on social and emotional development. As noted, we also have a new, vibrant headmaster coming from St. Albans (Malcolm Lester). I'd be happy to talk with you more about the school. +1. We've been there nine years, three kids and we adore it. Not sure about K enrollment for the fall, but as the PP said, give a call. As the new head becomes established, it will tough to get a spot after the admissions cycle is closed. Good luck! |
Norwood school in bethesda.
