Haha! That's right, liquid gold! |
| Anyone else want to share their great no-fail BM recipes? Slow cooker ones preferred. |
| Makes a tasty coffee creamer |
I used my freezer stash to make smoothies for DH (yes, he knew!) and I once. I have to admit, they were really really gross. Something about freezing bm makes it taste....I don't know....bitter or smokey or something. Just, yuck. On the other hand, freshly pumped bm is nicely sweet. I used it in my coffee on a few occasions when I was out of cow milk. And no, this is definitely not fake. I had a huge oversupply and consistently pumped about three times as much as my baby would take. Ultimately I donated my massive freezer stash to a woman who had adopted a newborn and wanted to feed him bm. |
And certainly you waited an hour or two after imbibing wine before feeding your guests breast milk ice cream. |

While I find this incredibly gross - although not as gross as eating one's placenta - I suppose that if it's your own, it's not as bad.
but serving it to others? off limits, I say!

| Thanks PP, you reminded me of that wonderful Pioneer Woman Baked Placenta with Creme Fraiche recipe (and you know what the creme fraiche is made out of). All the of the foreign ambassadors go crazy for that one. |
OP if you were aiming to be believable you should have said you were a cup of milk short for your ice cream so you used some left over BM instead.

Breast milk isn't the right consistency - too much lipase, watery, too sweet, etc. and scalding breast milk will alter the components even more.

Not if you bring to it a quick boil and then down to a low simmer. Kind of like sleep training. |
