It was an unfortunate blunder
The fact is, to many of these radical Islamists and the sheep of "the Arab Street" who follow them, everything is a grievous insult and an excuse for violence. An editorial cartoon, a stray remark, etc. F(orget)-'em. |

Raging atheist here (not the one who signs in) who will never understand why religious people resort to violence but I'm just curious to know how people would react if you walked into some megachurch or some Hasidic congregation and set a Bible on fire? Would they really just pray for your soul? |

I would like to point out a few things: 1. The offended people were not radicals. They were regular Afghans. 2. The Afghans are our allies. The Taliban is our enemy. 3. They had a protest that involved throwing some rocks. I have seen as much after a Maryland basketball game. 4. We have no excuse for our action other than complete carelessness. |
