iPad 3

Anonymous
Rumor has it that iPad 3 comes out next month with a much higher resolution screen. I love my iPad 2, but could very possibly be tempted to upgrade. Screen rez is pretty much my only pet peeve. I feel dumb for getting my name engraved on the back, which I supposed make re-sale almost impossible...

Am I crazy or would anyone else upgrade when you already have a 2?

You must be new to this sort of thing. You don't "upgrade". You very generously purchase a second iPad so that you can pass on your current iPad to another family member. Whether another family member wants it or not is only of secondary importance.

Editing to add, it is due to just this sort of generosity on my part that we have enough hand-me-down iPhones that even our dog has her own.

To bump the post to the top of the forum list so more people will see it and respond. People usually bump threads when there is little or no responses.

I hope the rumor is true because my 6 yo has totally co opted my iPad. When I try to get it back from him he claims that he's working on his sight words and math facts (and sometimes it's even true). So I want and iPad 3. BTW, I did have ours engraved. I thought it was fun and it's free. We never re-sell our apple products. But we do have a little apple graveyard including the original iPod. . . . not sure what to do about that.

This is exactly how it works in our house too.

Or you can buy an android tablet that works as well or better than the iPad and costs less. Apple employees ignore screams of girls being beaten to death next door, and runs sweat shops in Asia. I'm just saying.

Oops, meant how do you know tablets other than the ones made for Apple are not also made under sweat shop conditions? I would guess that much of our luxuries are directly or indirectly made under deplorable conditions exploiting the poor somehow somewhere.
