especially with getting gifts for the holidays... I don't know whether to go through the trouble/expense of replacing DS's toys. granted, he's only 6 months, and does not have that many toys yet.
and, if I do decide to replace the toys, what do I replace them with? is there anything we can trust out there? |
I've just been monitoring the recall lists and avoiding buying toys from places like TJ Maxx where I don't know how the dates of purchase will line up with dates of purchase listed in recalls (seems like they get the leftovers?). I don't plan to replace anything. However, for furture purchases, One Step Ahead says that they insist on independent testing of everything they sell. I assume that is not just toys sold through their site, but the same toys sold elsewhere--but I could be wrong about that. |
You can trust wood, and cloth toys. Or anything purchased from an organic retailer (so long as they state what all is in the toy).
If you're going to be worrying about it, you may want to replace/exchange the toys just for your peace of mind. |
