Which way are they going to go on this:
1. Liberals do it, too. 2. Its faked to get sympathy 3. Those aren't real conservatives 4. It's just kids 5. It's just a cat |
It's someone sick whose political slant is not all that relevant. |
It was probably relevant to the cat. |
Right wing extremists who dominate the GOP - sick bastards. Terrorism. |
How do you write on a dead cat? No, seriously. I am trying to think how I would use my cat (preferably alive) to convey a written message, and the only thing I can come up with would be shaving some fur and writing on the skin. |
I'm not going to embed this picture because it is disgusting, but click this link for a picture of the cat: http://www.commondreams.org/further/2012/01/23-2 |
Well I'm not going to click it! Noooo thank you. Just explain to me the methodology. My mother says she once tried to put racing stripes on a cat using hydrogen peroxide, but it didn't work. |
Like the previous writers, I won't embed the photo. However, the answer to the methodology question is that it was a short-haired white cat and a magic marker did athe job quite clearly.
I still think that any use of this sick person to draw conclusions about others of any political persuasion is unjustified. |
agree with you Takoma. While I find some of what I read on ThinkProgress interesting and relevant, I find the overall paranoid tone of the website to be off-putting. I prefer dailykos. |
That makes sense, thanks. I have a pretty shaggy orange cat, so marker on the fur wouldn't have any legible effect. And, I agree, which is why I have tried to steer the conversation away from the "politics" of the situation, and towards the absurdity of cat-writing. |
I don't think it's caused by ideology, but I think it's related. I'm having a lot of trouble thinking of something really disturbed done by someone on the left in the last decades. I can think of at least a few from the right. |
It is easy to say that this guy is obviously a deranged nutjob that does not reflect on the rest of the political persuasion.
I wish we could recognize the exact same phenomenon with muslims. The average muslim looks at muslim terrorists the same way. |
I used to think you wore rose colored glasses but now I see they are actually just blinders. |
I know that you thought that sentence was so cool when you read it that you've been dying to use it on someone, but you should have saved it for a more appropriate target. Anyone who has read more than a few posts of mine here knows that re politics, I'm about the most cynical person you'll ever meet. If I'm wearing rose-colored glasses, we should all suicide immediately. Oh - and why not expose my blindness for all to see by recounting all of the well-publicized deranged acts of leftists in the last 10 years? |
