I gotta admit, it's actually a good idea. Jeff starts a post that he knows will get people riled up. Then he waits to see if people from certain IP addresses respond and tries to engage them in a way that will really get them going.
Problem is, in my little over a year visiting this site, I've learned there are enough people off their meds who start threads that they know are going to stir the pot and get lots of responses. In short, Jeff doesn't need to go through that trouble. |

What OP seems to be hinting in his/her awkward way is that Jeff is a sock puppet who starts threads or posts simply to stir the pot.
What you don't factor in however, OP, is that there are so many natural born crazies on this site that there is no need for Jeff to sock puppet in order to get things going. Take yourself for example, OP. |
