Haha. I guess you weren't at the first ball game in the history of Nationals stadium. Our former president was booed roundly and it was all on espn.

Even more to the point, these women don't hold an office. They are the wives of office holders. They have some ceremonial responsibilities but otherwise are not politicians. Boo if you must, but it is incredibly disrespectful and unbecoming.

As are Michelle Obama and Jill Biden. Seriously? I hated Bush as a president but was mortified when he got booed at that baseball game. That's classless. I too am not surprised it happened at a Nascar event.

I agree with you and thought it was totally classless and rude. Although I'm much more conservative politically than either Michelle Obama or Jill Biden, I think they should be treated with respect.

Personally I think anyone can boo whomever they want to boo. Moreover, I would not only expect conservatives to disagree with Mrs. Obama and Dr. Biden, I understand their disagreement. But, in this case, the two women were standing with a veteran and his family and Obama and Biden were there to promote military families. So, I don't think the story is a bunch of yahoos booing two women that I would expect them to boo. Rather, it is the fact that a crowd of red-blooded American patriots decided to boo a veteran during an effort to rally support for military families. If it had been liberals booing the military, Fox News would have it on endless loop and Congress would be considering a resolution of condemnation.

With the super wankers failing to reach an agreement on the budget, the automatic cuts are scheduled to take a chunk out of the military's hide. We will be hearing a lot from conservatives about how this is tragedy that must be reversed and how liberals don't support the military. But, this episode shows just how little conservatives really care about those who serve their country.

Booing is only the tip of the iceberg.
The supercommittee, at the behest of Republicans such as John McCain, has been advocating cutting the military's health care benefits. Because while the interests of Raytheon, Lockheed Martin are sacrosanct, the actual people who serve are there to be thrown under the bus. Remember McCain was also the guy who opposed the GI bill on grounds that we can't afford it.
