Penn State scandal forum?

Can we put all pen state topics given how hot it is and many feel very strongly about- in a separate forum? very hot topic .. many of us are very involved (not a psu grad either)..

Agree. And to think we still have MONTHS to go through this....

Can we give it another week? If not for tonight's interview, things might have died down.

Penn State grad here. There are plenty of places around the web that are bursting with PSU-related forums where people are discussing this. I agree with PP that it's not likely to be something that will continually draw enough commentary to create its own forum on this site.

I actually might do this simply to get the threads out of other forums. It would only be temporary and once the attention goes away, all the forum and all of the messages would get removed. Let's see how things go over the next couple of days.

I agree that it would be a good temporary move. Didn't you do this with the Hughley/Love forum? I'm monitoring the threads mainly for links to new articles with additional information. Would be great if it was all in one place. Thanks.

Why would you delete the posts after the firestorm dies? I mean why would you delete S posts before you delete the random "MIL so frustrating!!!!" posts?

It will be a temporary forum. What else should I do with the posts? If you want a permanent Penn State forum, the answer is "no".

Just make it a CSI forum any crime related stuff goes there

Of course I don't want a permanent PSU forum. But I don't know, how about a "yesterday's hot forums" or such. You're a creative guy. I'm just saying that I'd be much more interested in searching and reading about the deleted Hughley/Love and Landon threads rather than whether she ever left her cheatin' husband or what she ended up wearing to the wedding.

You could have a forum titled "archived temporary forum discussions" and just start throwing all posts from temporary forums there when you close them down. If a subject gets revived later you have the option of moving it back into a more relevant forum. Just a suggestion...

or "DCUM Crime Solvers"

What about a forum called "Ripped from the Headlines" -- that would collect posts about things like PSU, mommies who kill their kids, high profile trials, etc.
