| Have you ever noticed that it's harder to pour milk from an Organic Valley carton now that they seem to have gone to lower-impact/flimsier packaging? I can't get a good grip on the carton; it just smushes in the hand. (Or maybe it's my super-strength!) |
| Thank God. What a wind bag and those eyebrows! |
| That was one angry old man. Maybe if he'd gotten a computer he wouldnt have been such bitter old man. Those eyebrows scared me.... |
| I'll be so glad when the news of his retirement blows over. A great big WHO CARES. Never thought he had a relevant thing to say and heard he was an a-hole to his "fans." |
| I've been an avid 60 Minutes fan since I was a teenager - started watching with my mother and grandmother. And although I personally didn't share his P.O.V., the old folks in my family certainly did, and were big fans of the long-running ending of the show. And considering the average age of viewer of 60 Mins is probably his age, I'd say he was pleasing the base. |
| I can't stand A Roon! My dark thought about Andy Rooney (and Barbara Walters for that matter) is that some day he will die and the media will enter into crazy intesnse commemoration mode and I will not be able to escape him for several days. |
|
Oh yes, Barbara Walters too. What a windbag. Loves the sound of her own voice.
I'm 41 and I remember when I was growing up 60 minutes was considered "must see tv" for my parents. The loved Andy Rooney and still love him. No doubt they will miss him. |
| He sure was annoying |
| I love 60 Minutes but wow am I glad to see him go. BTW did anyone watch this past Sunday? My palms were sweating during the segment about the guy who climbs insane rock walls with no ropes or harnesses! |
I saw that. I also thought the woman interviewing him was totally smitten with him. Maybe I was just reading into it though because I thought he was pretty cute, if only I were younger. |
I don't mind Barbara as much though I'm not a huge fan. But you are right. When Andy passes it will be a tough couple of days with the media blitz. And yes, I know that is awful to think. But he's lived a long doing what he loves and realistically he has to go sometime so it's not that awful. He is just the epitome of a crotchety old man. I pity his daughter-in-law if he has one. Can you imagine Thanksgiving dinners? |

"Now that Andy Rooney has retired..."
...I can stop wasting energy wondering why the hell he is on tv and who in the world gives a rat's @ss what he has to say. Good riddance! |
| Omg that rock climber was nuts...sad to say he will prob be dead by thirty. He is taking way too big of risks for no real good reason. |
| After dealing with a year long Oprah retirement celebration, a weekend of Rooney retireing was nothing. |
