Folks....
I'm looking or interested in trying to find some part time work to do at home. The addition of our second has made money a little tighter and I'm just trying to find some extra dollars. The problem is trying to find something (I don't care if it is stuffing envelopes) that isn't a scam. That's tougher than you might think. Anybody have any legitimate places to look? Thanks |
| craigslist has some legitimate ones. |

No real idaes but you could try babycenter and some other sites that have forums for SAParents. Try googling articles on the subject.
Neighborhood babysitting and back up care for working parents might work. |

My neighbor is a SAHM and she does dogwalking. Takes the baby out in the stroller and walks 6 different dogs in our condo complex. Good for her - good for baby, good for the dogs.

idealist.org has some good freelance and consulting jobs for non-profits. Mediabistro.com has great editorial jobs - many are freelance or part-time.
Not sure of your area of expertise.... |

Newsweek just did a little article on working part time from home. Two websites they recommended:
http://www.tentiltwo.com/ and http://www.momcorps.com/ Good luck. |

To the OP, how has this gone for you? Do you have anything part-time/flexible? If so, where and how did you find it/get it?
THanks! |

Try ChaCha.com - pay isn't great, but it's something.
I would also highly recommend joining twitter - it's amazing the connections you can make and the opportunities that come from that. |
| Thanks! |
| Call the research universities; I know that Ph.D. students need stuff transcribed for their research projects. For instance, someone I know who was at the University of Maryland, College Park said they needed transcribers for math lessons. Pay was $10/hour. |
That's great! Good for her
If she does 6 dogs, she probably makes $50-60 a day. Not bad getting paid for exercise! Embarrassing, I pay my daycare lady less than $60/day. |
