Early Friday morning, I woke up with terrible lower back pain and couldn't get back to sleep. I assumed I'd just been sleeping in a bad position but the pain has persisted now for several days and I'm starting to wonder if it's here for the long haul. I'm one of those people who gets lower backaches every month with my period, so I guess I'm not too surprised but that doesn't make it any less unpleasant. Has anyone else had back pain that started this early?

My back pain started a little later (20 weeks or thereabouts) but it's been terrible. My midwife recommended Dr. Anthony Noya, a chiropractor who specializes in treating pregnant women. It has really helped. He is at: www.noyachirpractic.com -- hope you feel better! |
Thanks a lot, that's really helpful. If this keeps up I may have to give it a try.
Does anyone know of a good prenatal practitioner in the NoVA area? It would be great to find someone who's a little closer to home. |
I had this because me uterus was tilted/retroverted and falling back onto my spine.
If you sleep on your stomach for a few days it should relax and pop back forward. Worked for me, with both pregnancies. |
