Pet-friendly hotels

We're driving to Florida next week and need to take our dog with us. Does someone know of a hotel chain that is pet friendly. We're thinking of spending the night somewhere in North or Sout Carolina.

Check out this website. http://letsgopets.com/index.php

You can also Google "pet friendly hotels" and see what comes up.

We're moving to MD from WI in March and plan to use this to help us find places we can stay with out cats.

Good luck!

The PP gave a pretty good list of chains, but my recommendation of course is CALL AHEAD! How difficult it will be will actually depend more on the size of your dog. There are a lot of hotels that accept a 20lb dog, but my 100lb. is another story.

I really like www.petswelcome.com as well for lists. Good luck.

If you're a AAA member, they sell a book called "Travelling with Pets." I think its about $7. Especially if you don't know exactly where you're going to stop, its very useful b/c you can just call ahead from the road.

Westins and Hyatt Summerfield Suites. They will charge a pet fee though (we sneak the dog in and will feign ignorance about the fee if caught).

That's not something to be proud of. These hotels are doing a good service by allowing pets. You don't want them to stop. And pets often make a mess. Pay the fee, cheapskate.
