Need Referral for OB and Primary at Kaiser West End!

But that relationship ended last year or the year before. Based on the information I got last year, Kaiser doesn't cover any midwife-asssisted deliveries (and Kaiser offers no out-of-network coverage for stuff like that). That is my one major gripe about Kaiser--otherwise I've been very happy with Kaiser.

I think that Kaiser does have some CNMs on staff, though.

I saw a CNM for one of my first prenatal appointments. She was great & I'd love to have her for most of my appts, but I'm not sure Kaiser would do that. At least when you're setting up an appointment online, they only let you choose your regular OB. You definitely don't get a choice in who delivers the baby, it's whoever's on call from Kaiser at the hospital. I'd met the person who was there when I got induced, but I'd never met the person who broke my water or the person who caught the baby. You spend most of your labor with the nurses, anyway. I thought the L&D nurses at WHC were great.

I'm late to this but in case the OP is still looking, I highly recommend Dr. Chakraborty at WE for OB/GYN. I saw her through my first pregnancy last year and really liked her. I delivered at Holy Cross and had a good experience. I also see Dr. Fitch and recommend her.

I don't have Kaiser, but my primary care doctor moved to Kaiser and she was great -- Dr. Yasmin Panahy. She was *wonderful* -- I ended up leaving that practice because she was the best part about it. Unfortunately, b/c I don't have Kaiser, I can't see her now. I'm not sure which office she's in.

Good luck and congrats on the pregnancy!

Has anyone had Dr. Kelly Coldwell at Capitol Hill?
