I just saw the announcement for their 2011-2012 season lineup and it looks fantastic, but I am going to need to budget to afford it. Anyone know? |
It isn't much of a discount off the regular ticket price, I don't think. As for how much, it depends on what seats and which night. For example, tickets to Wicked range from $37 to $250. Multiply that by 6 (average number of performances in a season, I think) and you'll get the range for a subscription series for one person. |
I have looked at this before because they sent us a brochure about it...I can't remember but have you checked the Kennedy Center website? I would be surprised if it was not on there!

For crying out loud, go to their website. |
I'm not an idiot - don't you think I would have done that????!! A little respect, please. It is not on their website yet, and probably won't be for a couple months, and, as I noted, I was wanting a ballpark figure for budgeting purposes. |
They were running a special deal for the musicals this year. You could pick 3, 4 or 5 at greatly discounted rates for buying early. My friend and I got tickets in the orchestra section about 10 rows back for South Pacific, Next to Normal, and Wicked for 265 for each of us or 530 total for the three shows. The best part of the deal was that they didn't charge any of the extra "convenience" charges for these tickets.
You might want to call the box office to see if they are going to be running any deals for next year. This year's deal was to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of JFK's inauguration. You might be able to get a deal if you are willing to buy early. |
Thanks so much! That's quite helpful. |
