| I'm looking for a natural soap that won't dry out DS skin and a natural shampoo that won't sting his eyes. TIA |

| All they need is water. Any cleaner, including natural, will likely be too drying. |

| California baby here as well, and we use it (diluted) for our homemade baby wipes. Works really well, haven't noticed any drying out. |

OP here. Thanks so much. I feel like an idiot for not knowing water only The Dr Sears book I have says mild soap, but my gut agrees with all of you. Water it is

| OP, for the future, please bear in mind that "natural" does not necessarily mean mild. Natural oils and herbs can be extremely harsh on skin. |
This. Cetaphil is extremely gentle, but I don't know if it's necessarily "natural" (or at least it's not packaged that way.) |
Agree with both of these statements, as a parent of a child with bad eczema. Our pedi said wash with water only "or" use Cetaphil if a cleanser is needed. And my child is almost 5 years old. That's all he has used as a cleanser, even on his dirtiest sweaty summer days. |
