I'm looking for a natural soap that won't dry out DS skin and a natural shampoo that won't sting his eyes. TIA

Burt's Bees.

All they need is water. Any cleaner, including natural, will likely be too drying.

California Baby, but it is pricey.

California baby here as well, and we use it (diluted) for our homemade baby wipes. Works really well, haven't noticed any drying out.

My son had sensitive skin and eczema...Eucerin Oil Wash was recommended by his dermotologist for the dry, sensitive skin. We later moved on to Dove Sensitive.

OP here. Thanks so much. I feel like an idiot for not knowing water only The Dr Sears book I have says mild soap, but my gut agrees with all of you. Water it is

love the unscented California Baby products for sensitive skin

PS - I found the soap is cheaper at Bed Bath and Beyond than anywhere else

California Baby.

OP, for the future, please bear in mind that "natural" does not necessarily mean mild. Natural oils and herbs can be extremely harsh on skin.

This. Cetaphil is extremely gentle, but I don't know if it's necessarily "natural" (or at least it's not packaged that way.)

Agree with both of these statements, as a parent of a child with bad eczema. Our pedi said wash with water only "or" use Cetaphil if a cleanser is needed. And my child is almost 5 years old. That's all he has used as a cleanser, even on his dirtiest sweaty summer days.
