Casual (not expensive) lunch around Farrugut West Metro

Anonymous
A friend will be in town for work and asked to meet up for lunch near the Farragut West Metro. Being new in town myself, I am not sure what to recommend. We are looking for a reasonably priced sit-down meal (no more than $15ish for entrees, less is fine too). Any cuisine is fine. Thanks for your help.

I do not recommend Cafe Asia.

Kaz Sushi is nearby and you could do that for $15 per person.

Teaism on I Street may be more casual than you're looking for, but I like it there and the food is interesting.

Wasabi on Connecticut(or it may be 17th at that point?). Decent sushi in one of those conveyor belt settings. Fun and different.

I don't think you could do Kaz Sushi for $15/person.

I love Teaism and you could definitely do that for $10 - $15.

Mmm...love Pret a Manger's ham and cheese baguette. Delicious. I also love Kellari Taverna on K between 17th and 18th. Their friend zucchini/eggplant slices are amazing. You'd be surprised at how a lot of these more expensive sit-down places have affordable sandwiches and salads for lunch fare.
