Looking for anyone with a similar clinic experience

I froze my eggs at a clinic in the DC area several years ago over multiple cycles. I recently transferred the eggs to a new, well-respected clinic in the area. When I went to thaw them recently to create embryos, the new clinic broke the news that none of my eggs survived the thaw. This is totally devastating and not supposed to happen -- my new clinic suggested something may have happened at my previous clinic. I'm now looking for others in the area, or someone who knows someone, who may have had a similar experience with either eggs or embryos at a DC clinic. I won't share the name of my previous clinic here but am happy to be in touch directly. I would also welcome other ideas for how to reach anyone who may have had a similar experience (maybe a specific DC parent listserv?)

I’m so sorry that this happened to you. I would be very upset! Were the eggs vitrified or frozen with the older slow freeze process?
Obviously, somewhere in the process someone messed up!

They were vitrified!

Easy for the new clinic to blame your old clinic. Once you contact old clinic they will blame the new clinic. I'm really sorry this happened to you.

That’s terrible. (It’s terrible either way, but more expected with the older freeze process …that you didn’t have!)

I wish that I could help more. My only suggestion is to look for private facebook groups comprised of patients at the clinic. Another option is to search for news articles/ media publications about complaints or lawsuits against a particular clinic. I am thinking of a specific place that was in the press…

Johns Hopkins fertility frequently botches freezing, along with botching every other aspect of fertility.

Avoid Hopkins fertility at all costs!
