| Am I the only person who doesn't care at all about this? The pope has absolutely zero bearing on my life. I have never known who the pope is - is there any reason I should? This has nothing at all to do with my religion or how I live my life. |

The pope has huge influence internationally. It's not about religion - more like the King of England. It doesn't matter if you are British - you still should want to know. |

Weird flex. Kind of like saying "I've never known what countries are in Europe, why should I?" or "I don't know what the capital of the Confederacy was, why should I?" or "I don't know what a Dalai Lama is, why should I?" It's kind of a marker of general intelligence. |
