SSFS shutting down has made me wonder if other schools are in danger of meeting the same fate...thoughts?

Anonymous
As a SSFS parent I was of course shocked and horrified by the very unexpected news that it is closing (I'm not optimistic about the coalition that's trying to save it, sorry; I think the writing's on the wall for this one). And it got me thinking: are other private schools in the area safe? I've heard that Green Acres, for instance, has low enrollment (although that might just be part of their model? small class sizes?), and that Barrie is struggling. Maret and GDS (to name a few) seem more financially secure (probably because tuition is so over-priced!) but two weeks ago I would have said the same thing about SSFS. What about Burke? How are they doing? Generally private schools in the area seem to be struggling...would sending DD to a different one just be setting her up for another unexpected school shutdown? Are any schools doing particularly well? Do Green Acres, Barrie, or Burke seem to be in danger of closing?

This is such a stressful thing, any responses are appreciated. Thank you!
