What is it you are trying to work on or improve?

Proper striking and finishing! Are there specific trainers that specialize in this?

What age is the player and why do you think they need to focus on ball striking and finishing?

13. That’s kind of the age where players should start refining their shooting skills. Not every shot should be a blast it as hard as you can. Striking the ball with different surfaces of the foot. Balance and body movements prior to the striking. The follow through.

Are you setting me up for the “your kid is too young, he should just go a play/train by himself” speech? lol.

There isn't a single high level club or academy coach/scout with 'shooting skills' on their scouting and recruiting clipboard chart for a 13 year old

Their IG handles:

@mocosoccertraining

@limitless.soccer

@ballerzfootballacademy

@nextstarsoccer

@philipblystonesoccer (VA) but worth the drive for his ability to enforce techniques that your kid can work on during the week.

Who cares what a club coach or an academy scout is looking for. It’s about becoming a better version of yourself. A little skill refining for your tool belt.

You should care why the top level doesn't care about shooting at 13

At 13, taking long shots isn't a skillset

Only reference I have for girls in Nova: @acc_elite

https://dmvfc.org/travel_staff/andres-contreras-cano/

Heard he is not too responsive lately which I have learned = packed schedule.

They are not business people so I learned not to take it personal.

Kodjo Gnatiko is also another good trainer. Helped my daughter with her shooting technique and confidence.

I am now questioning why there are even soccer goals on the field. We should just have refs judge who can dribble the best kinda like a gymnastics competition.
