Who needs ethics anyway when we've got Donald Trump leading us?

Government ethics watchdog removed from post again amid legal fight with Trump administration
Hampton Dellinger challenged his termination last month as head of the Office of Special Counsel by suing several Trump administration officials.

A federal appeals court Wednesday said President Donald Trump can fire a top government watchdog in the latest round of a legal fight over the authority to dismiss federal officials.

The U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for Washington, D.C., put on hold on a lower court’s ruling that found Hampton Dellinger’s termination at the Office of Special Counsel was “unlawful.” The court said it would expedite its review of the ruling, but in the meantime Dellinger can be removed from his post.

The White House and Dellinger did not immediately respond to requests for comment Wednesday night.

The ruling is a temporary win for Trump as his administration seeks to carry out mass firings of federal workers, including nearly two dozen government watchdog officials.

All the probationary employees are cooked. Next week is the last week to file with the OSC for those fired Feb 13th/14th. You can guarantee whoever is put in his place will dismiss all of those claims.

I thought TROs usually maintained the status quo to give time for an expedited review; guess I was wrong. Too bad. This def hurts the probies.

They do and his TRO did. But then he won on the merits, which dissolves the TRO and enters a permanent injunction. Now that is stayed.

Dellinger won on the merits. But it was appealed to the DC Circuit.

July

The appeals court briefing schedule requires all filings by 4/11. So expect a ruling from shortly thereafter. It’s not over yet by a long shot and will end up at the Supreme Court

I’m confused. So the DC appeals court decided not to hold the status quo during the pendency of the appeal? Even tho Dellinger won on the merits at the trial level? Why?

Seriously. I am beyond heartbroken and angry with all this and I’m not even a federal employee.
