Hello!
Our family is moving to DC and found a house in the Oyster Adams boundary. Our kids will be entering 2nd grade and the school "recommends" on their website to not enroll them if they do not have a good grasp of Spanish, which makes a lot of sense. If this is the case, does anyone know which school they have the right to attend? I've done a lot of research and can't seem to find an answer (including written emails and made phone calls to the school and DCPS). Is it Eaton or Francis Stevens? Thank you so much for any insight. |
School Without Walls at Francis Stevens, according to this doc (pg 38): https://enrolldcps.dc.gov/sites/dcpsenrollment/files/page_content/attachments/SY24-25%20DCPS%20Enrollment%20and%20Lottery%20Handbook.pdf |
Thank you so much! This does answer things. I really appreciate it. |
They changed the name to John Francis Education Campus and just renovated their building and the principal seems to be great! |
+1, I have heard great things about the principal and school! |
I would try to get spots at Eaton.

So far so good, we are in-bounds for JFEC and the experience so far (elementary) has been positive. The new facilities are really nice and the teachers and staff have been invested. Huge international representation, with many nearby embassy staff and families attending. |
