Hotel Relais Monceau or Hotel Litteraire le Swann. I have family I often visit in that neighborhood which is quiet, upscale, and very well-served by public transit (and walkable to many sites of interest). But it’s like 15 seconds off the beaten tourist path so hotels seem a bit cheaper. I haven’t stayed at either but did some research a while back when other friends were looking for a hotel nearby. |

Check out the Astotel chain. All fairly new properties with large bathrooms (for Paris). If you stay at one, you can drop in at the others for a complimentary cold drink and snacks, and to use the bathrooms etc. Not luxurious but kind of modern/funky and very clean, with friendly staff.
