Have you found one you like/love this year? Long sleeved and above knees or
long sleeved and mid-calf length? |
I splurged on this and love it even though polka-dots are not my usual thing. It's silk and very flattering/forgiving on my 50-year-old body.

Love this! I had a similar dress from Everlane years ago and never wore it because it was too short but this one looks better. |
Not OP but I love this. |
You think this brown sack “seems flattering”? Are you trolling or just a mess? |
i have a vintage gaultier that is black cotton & can be dressed up or down
a zara turtleneck dressed made in portugal most flattering |
I had one very similar and it was cozy, but it's not going to be flattering, if that would bother you. |
I Have been eyeing this up all weekend! This or the blouse in the same print. Happy you love it! |
This is a much cheaper (cost and quality) version of the VB dress:

Sorry but those polka dot dresses look straight out of 1986. So bad. |
I'm the person who posted the VB dress. I saw this mentioned on a blog as a dupe and actually bought it first in an effort to keep myself from spending an absurd amount on the VB. The Charles Henry dress is cute and a little more casual but other than having polka dots, there's no comparison. The fabric is heavy and has no give in comparison to the sightly stretchy silk of the VB dress. The color is a cool burgundy, which is actually very pretty, while the VB is a warm-toned brick red. The styles are very different. The CH dress runs a tad small - I am almost always a 2/XS and the XS fit but barely. The VB dress runs a little big, especially for that brand - I bought a 0. I've had previous VB dresses in 4 or 6. I'm not being negative about the CH dress, just wanted to share a comparison since I tried both. It isn't comparable but it is a cute dress for the price! I ended up returning it to help offset the VB cost. |
As the person who has tried both, you're not wrong about the Charles Henry dress, though I did still like it. The VB dress is cut very different and looks elegant and modern in person. |
Great dress |
