Looking for volunteering opportunities for 15 year old

Hello,
My 15-year old son had gotten himself an administrative summer job (he is on crutches for the moment so couldn't do soccer coaching as would have been his preference) but that job seems to be falling apart. He is looking for a volunteering opportunity for July. Anybody would know of organizations that would be still looking for volunteers? He is 15.5 year old but really mature for his age. He was interested by volunteering at early education program for example but is open to any other opportunity. We live in DC 20011 and can drive him from and to the volunteering area within ~20 minute driving distance from home. Thanks! |

| Where are you, and how far away can he go? Will he only be able to go places he can get to via public transportation that can be managed on crutches, or can you/his other parent drive him each day? |

Sorry, I should have mentioned all that in the original post.
I edited the post. We live in Petworth (20011) and can drive him to and from places but hoping to stay within 20 minutes or so from home. |

| Try Wider Circle. They are always looking for volunteers and at 15 he can go alone. He will need to take the volunteer training first, which is online, then he can sign up for time slots on his own. Very satisfying work, and close by to you (off Grubb road). |
