of my browser? I may not be using exactly the correct terminology here. This is embarassing, but I guess I have been visiting youporn too much, so in addition to the washingtonpost.com, nytimes.com, DCUM, wikipedia, etc., now it display youporn.com too! I know how to erase my browsing history, but how do I get that off my drop down window?
TIA! |
Don't know what browser you are using, but it sounds like you may just have to clear your browsing history. Usually if you go to Tools > Options you can control this. Hope it helps.
PP here--just realized you said you know how to clear your history. I feel like doing this has erased the drop-down stuff in the past, so it might work. in IE, I did Tools > Internet Options > General (tab) and then hit the Clear History button. While you are there you could also delete your cookies.
i've wondered that too. in the future you might want to turn on "private browsing" under tools usually. it's not called porn mode for nothing

OP here. Thanks all. I just cleared ALL of my history, not just today, and it worked. I will use private browsing from now on. Don't want that to happen again...

Actually, if you display the browser dropdown menu and then just toggle down to the URL you want to delete, there should be an "X" on the right-hand side of the dropdown menu for each URL listed. If you run you mouse over the X and left click, it will delete it. It will still appear in your History though.
Maybe if you didn't watch so much porn and/or if you weren't trying to hide your excessive porn viewing, you wouldn't have this problem.. just saying..
NP here. I don't watch porn but want to know for other sites how do you turn on private browsing? I don't see it under tools.
