Hemorrhoid removal

| Pardon the topic, but does anyone have a recommendation for a GI doc/surgeon who can do hemorrhoid removal? I was hoping they would go away post-partum, but no dice. I'd be especially interested in doctors in downtown or NW DC or Bethesda/Chevy Chase. Also, if you have been through this, what is the removal process like and did it hurt? |

| I'm sorry that I can't give you any names, but I would recommend talking to your OB/GYN about getting one because I'm sure you are not the first person with this issue. It's a real drag to have this post pregnancy/delivery. |

| This is the OP - thanks PP. Did they bleed that whole time, some of the time, or never? Does anyone have doctor recommendations or helpful tips? Thanks! |

| I am looking into removal as well. I still have 1 really bad one...and this is 2 years after I had my DS. Mine only bleeds if I am constipated....I am pregnant again, so I will look into removal after I have the next baby. I haven't looked into doctors yet but my General Practioner referred to me to a gastreanologist (sp?) so I was just going to see who is covered in my plan and in the area. |
