Summer soccer camps for MLSNext and ECNL players - metro DC, NYC, or Boston areas

Anonymous
There are a lot of camps, but hard finding which ones would be good fit for elite playes to get the appropriate challenge and level of training. Seeking ideas, around DC/MD/VA area, but also NYC and Boston area (cooler and less humid weather, and where I happen to have friends/family I could stay with if needed.) -- Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Wondering as well.

This is a great question…. Lots of regular camps around that babysit the kids and promote their clubs or try to sell you on a European tour.

In this area, I would consider nextStar camps, Futbol lab camps, and False8 camps to cater to high level kids. The first two are MD/Dc. The latter is VA.

I’m sure there are more but those are ones I have some familiarity with. I guess just find camps where local college players and MLS players return to during the summer

False8 has a spring break camp running during a time when the surrounding school district....doesn't have spring break.

Sorry...didn't finish typing. They also have one scheduled for the last week of March but it made me wonder (if anyone knows) is the camp so popular that they pull from further away (hence the April spring break camp)? I've never heard of them before but looking for camps for my daughter and if they're desirable enough that people will drive to Mt. Vernon who live nowhere near it, it makes me think maybe they're well attended and well known?

No summer dates yet that I see. I'd love suggestions for good summer camps if anyone has any. I've been very disappointed in the ones we (or friends) have tried already.

The false 8 camp during April is during Catholic schools break and I know of 10 kids already signed up. They are limited to 30 kids or less. My kids are signed up for spring break already. I think it’s also DC and possibly PWC.

I would not recommend False 8. There is a wide range of player with different skill levels.

For the summer camps, they are attempting to screen out beginners I think. The interest form asks for club and placement, and number of years playing.

The US Naval academy is supposed to have a good summer camp.

I hope so. Their weekly session is mediocre and mixed with different skill level. Sessions are mixed with age groups. My DD did it a few times, it just wants for her.
