How did you deal with sending a child to daycare who doesn't take a bottle?

Try different temperatures of breastmilk. Our baby started with warm milk, but now takes it cold. That makes life so much easier! Also, you may need to experiment with different bottle nipples or sippy cups to find something he likes. And finally, at 6 months your baby may be eating rice cereal or other solids so that might tide him over until boobie time.

PP here. OP, I know just how you feel. I was so stressed about going back to work, I constantly worried that my baby was starving without me.

I tried all the tricks too -- different people, different places, different bottles. The last month of my leave was so stressful trying to get DS to take a bottle from anyone.

He never cracked. He never took the bottle. He is one stubborn little guy!

But amazingly enough, he's thriving at daycare. True, the first day, he cried the whole day, drank almost nothing. I nursed him at lunch and again when I picked him up. Day 2, he drank 3 oz and Day 3, he drank 6! By the end of the week, he was drinking 7 oz plus.

Now if we could just get him to stop the multiple (3+!) nursing sessions as night, we'd be golden.
