Pump to fill up inflatable pool??? What can I use?

| I've called just about every toy store in the area and all are out of the special pumps for inflatable pools. Can I use a bike pump? Or an electric pump for an air mattress? My son is desperate to get in his little pool. Thanks!! |

Just tape one end of a straw or other tube to your bicycle pump, and then tape the other end of the straw to the nozzle for the pool. Use duct tape, or maybe electrical tape, to make sure it holds tight. Then pump away.
It might look like West Virginia, but your son will think you're awesome. |

Most hand pumps come with an attachment you can use on a pool (it's s usually plastic).
Our air pump that came with my exercise ball also works. We also have a pump that attaches to our car - it's to blow up car tires, but has an attachment that fits our pool. More expensive, but if you have a few inflatables - it is heaven. Just be sure to not over inflate. |
