How much to install kitchen backsplash?

| depends how elaborate you want it. You can do it for for a few hundred dollars by getting peel and stick tiles from home depot. Otherwise, buy the tiles yourself and have a licensed handyman install them. |

| if you don't have a tile backsplash now, you probably have a 3" backsplash of the same material as your countertop. Is your plan to take that out? just tile above it? How many sq ft is the area you are planning to tile? Are you going to use $3/sqft tiles or $20/sqft tiles? like someone else said, lots of variables here |

Ours was about the same. We're in the nova suburbs and found someone with a good portfolio and reviews through thumbtack. |

Outside of my lane, but I would imagine its at least two trips - tile, cure over night (?), grout. Any demo or prep would probably add to it. 2k doesn't seem wild to me, though it could be high. I'd probably inquire how they arrived at that number. |

It really depends on how much they have to install and the complexity of tile. |
