How much did your family spend on groceries last month?
For how many people? |
4.5 people (our nanny eats lunch and sometimes snack at our house). Probably $1000-$1200. |
We averaged $900 in 2022 and $929 so far in 2023. That's for two adults and a toddler. This was $662 in 2021 and $715 in 2020 - but I don't know whether the increase is our toddler eating solids, pandemic pricing, or both. |
4 people, but two are athletic teen boys. Around $1500/month. |
Two adults and one teenager. Average $900 to $1000. This includes take out once a week. |
I just looked this up because I was curious, we are 1100ish for three people, not including take out. I spend pretty recklessly and it includes a lot of WFM prepared foods. I’m sure we could cut it way down, but this is what it looks like without trying. |
2 adults and 3 kids. Realistically around $1000-1100 a month but I don't keep perfect track. |
2 adults and 1 small child. We spend about $300 per week. |
$3000 for four people. We hosted three big dinners. |
This asked often. 4 people, two teenage girls. $1200 a month plus another $600-$700 of dining out. |
2 adults and 2 toddlers about $400 per month in groceries and another $2-300 eating out. No one eats lunch at home (work and daycare) and I’m on a low calorie diet….
|
$2k a month, 4 ppl - mostly delivery, which is why it’s so expensive… I need to work on it |
In 2021, our family ( 2 adults+ 1 child 6 year old) averaged about $850 per month ( groceries only). Last few months it's about $1000 a month. I'm trying to buy on sale good quality foods ( organic, grass fed type), mainly shopping in Costco, Whole Foods, Safeway. We don't buy ready to cook meals, we don't do any take outs. Rarely going to any restaurants. |
$2,000 per month for a family of four. Rarely eat out since pandemic. Mostly buy organic. |
