Drool?

Anonymous
OK, this is a bit of an odd question, but anyone out there having issues with drooling while you sleep? I'm 40 weeks and for the last 2 or 3 weeks, have been waking up literally in a pool - never had the problem before, so I'm assuming it's somehow related to the pregnancy, but it seems very odd to me. Anyone else?

Well, I have the problem while asleep, and while awake, it's the same as my first pregnancy. It's embarrassing but what'cha gonna do?

I was extra-drooly at the end of my pregnancy too! No idea why, but I took it as a sign that at least I wasn't dehydrated!

I've been drooling the entire pregnancy. Sometimes I even wake up choking on it at night. Its nasty and I'm over it. I now put a wash cloth under my face so I dont wake up in my own little pool. Charming, I know.

I am 39 weeks and have been drooling during sleep as well. This isn't my normal behavior and, like you, I assume it's pregnancy related but a mystery and not on the usual list of symptoms. I look forward to it going away!

Thank god for some of these posts. I'm just about 38 weeks and have recently started drooling in my sleep! So many weird physical things associated with pregnancy...

Another drooler here! I've noticed it during the third trimester especially. Just chalked it up to the "excess fluids" produced by the body during pregnancy. And maybe a byproduct of sleeping with my mouth open because of congestion....
